The Glucose 2-Hour Obstetrical Test is a screening test used during pregnancy to evaluate how the body processes glucose (sugar) and to help identify gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). After consuming a specified glucose solution, a blood sample is collected 2 hours later to measure blood glucose levels. Elevated results may indicate impaired glucose tolerance or gestational diabetes and may require further diagnostic testing or medical evaluation.
