The Gliadin Antibody IgA test is a blood test used to help evaluate whether a person may have gluten-related disorders, especially Celiac disease.
Gliadin is a component of gluten (a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye). In some people with celiac disease, the immune system mistakenly reacts against gliadin and produces IgA antibodies. This test measures those specific antibodies in the blood.
