The Glycophorin A Flow Cytometry test is used to detect and quantify erythroid lineage cells based on the expression of Glycophorin A (CD235a), a major sialoglycoprotein present on the surface of red blood cell precursors. It is one of the most specific markers for erythroid differentiation and is widely used in immunophenotyping panels for hematological evaluation.
