A Semen Culture (Aerobic) test is performed to detect and identify aerobic bacteria present in a semen sample. If bacterial growth is detected, the isolated organism is tested against a panel of 22 antibiotics to determine its sensitivity or resistance. This helps clinicians diagnose infections of the male reproductive tract and select the most effective antibiotic treatment.
