This test is a microbiological examination of a cervical swab sample collected from the cervix to detect the presence of aerobic bacterial infection. The sample is cultured in a laboratory to identify the bacteria responsible for infection.

Once bacteria are isolated, an antibiotic sensitivity test is performed using a panel of 22 different antibiotics (“22 Drugs”). This helps determine which antibiotics are most effective against the detected organism, guiding appropriate and targeted treatment.
