This test involves collecting a sterile swab sample from the throat to detect the presence of bacterial pathogens. The sample is cultured under aerobic conditions to promote the growth of bacteria. Once growth is observed, the isolated bacteria are subjected to antibiotic susceptibility testing against 12 commonly used antibiotics to determine which drugs are most effective for treatment.
