Adenosine Deaminase (ADA) – Ascitic fluid test is a laboratory test used to measure the level of the enzyme adenosine deaminase in fluid collected from the abdomen (ascitic fluid). This enzyme is mainly produced by activated lymphocytes, and its level increases in conditions where there is strong immune activity, especially tuberculosis infection.
