The HIV-1 & HIV-2 qualitative test detects antibodies and/or antigens associated with HIV infection. It is commonly used as a screening test to identify individuals who may be infected with HIV, the virus responsible for Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome.
