A Culture & Sensitivity (C&S) test is a laboratory test used to identify the specific bacteria, fungi, or other microorganisms causing an infection. The sample (such as blood, urine, sputum, wound swab, or other body fluids) is placed in a special medium that allows microorganisms to grow (culture).
