The P-ANCA test detects perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies in the blood. These autoantibodies are commonly associated with certain autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, particularly vasculitis and inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis.
