The Chromogranin A test is a blood test used to measure the level of chromogranin A, a protein released by neuroendocrine cells (cells that make hormones in response to nerve signals). This test is commonly used to help detect, monitor, or follow up on neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), such as carcinoid tumors.
