A Reticulocyte Count Test is a blood test that measures the number of reticulocytes (immature red blood cells) in your bloodstream. It helps doctors understand how well your bone marrow is producing new red blood cells. Reticulocytes are newly formed red blood cells released from the bone marrow before they fully mature. Normally, they mature into red blood cells within 1β2 days in the bloodstream.
