The urine protein/creatinine ratio (PCR) is a test performed on a random (single) urine sample to estimate the amount of protein being excreted in the urine over 24 hours. It compares the concentration of protein to creatinine in the urine, allowing assessment of proteinuria without the need for a full 24-hour urine collection.
